Begin by calling us at 1-800-203-6612, contacting us by email, or completing our online assessment. Upon Admission, a preliminary decision will be made about placement in the
program. Detoxification needs will be evaluated and your medical needs will be assessed. When required, Palmetto is able to provide detoxification for the majority of patients. Those determined medically unstable will be referred
to a local hospital under the care of Palmetto. Detoxification may be done on an outpatient basis or in one of the area hospitals prior to admission. Patients will also be accepted following detoxification by referring facilities and physicians.
Entry into one of our four levels of care will begin as soon as it has been determined that it is medically safe. Although Palmetto does accept referrals, an individual does not need one to enter our facility. For those meeting criteria to enter residential treatment, simply call and ask to speak to an intake coordinator who will assist you in making all the appropriate arrangements. Insurance and financial arrangements are also initiated with this call.
Confidentiality
The privacy of our program participants and their right to be treated with total confidentiality are carefully guarded at all times. These rights are protected by law, and any violators would be subject to a fine, imprisonment or both. To ensure our program's secluded, safe and healing environment, we maintain a secure facility; only program participants, facility personnel and authorized visitors are allowed on the premises.
Insurance Coverage
Palmetto accepts private insurance, other third party carriers and direct payment. Because Palmetto is a freestanding facility, we do not accept Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement.
