Thurman has been with Palmetto for 14 years and has 26 years experience working in substance abuse. He began his career in 1983 after graduating with a degree in practical nursing. For over 10 years Thurman was the detox nurse and intake counselor as well as a crisis interventionist at Woodland Hills hospital. He worked as charge nurse for four years at Palmetto and returned in 2000 as the utilization review nurse manager.
Thurman’s desire is to assist the treatment team in reaching therapeutic goals outlined for the patient by utilizing his knowledge and skills in managed care.
