Palmetto Extended Care Recovery Houses are a welcome place for individuals who are vested in living a life of recovery. They may reside in the houses for as long as they adhere to the following rules and procedures:
• Complete abstinence from alcohol and all mood altering chemicals.
• Attends 12 step meetings, maintains a sponsor and home group.
• Obtain legal, gainful employment.
Recovery House Admissions
1. Residents will be admitted on a voluntary basis.
2. Residents will need no detoxification.
3. Residents will demonstrate healthy recovery as evidence by any one of the following:
a. Completion of an inpatient or residential chemical dependency program.
b. Referral from a chemical dependency professional.
c. Referral from an AA/NA sponsor who has witnessed the individual’s participation in 12 Step support groups for at least 30 days.
4. Residents will be screened by the Palmetto Recovery House Director and the House Manager.
5. Residents will be at least 18 years of age.
6. All residents will have legal employment or approved resources within two weeks of admission. If not employed, the individual will be assessed by the House Manager and the Palmetto House Director.
