Stewart has Masters degrees both in Pastoral Ministry, Luther Rice Theological Seminary, Atlanta, GA, and Professional Counseling, Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA. Stewart is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#5232) registered with the Louisiana State Board of Examiners, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which deals with trauma and negative memories. EMDR is recognized by the American Psychiatric Association as an effective treatment for acute and chronic PTSD. EMDR has also been found effective in dealing with an array of issues such as: anxiety, fears, phobias, grief, OCD, and debilitating family of origin issues where a person may just feel “stuck” about events that they have experienced in their life. Stewart is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). As the Spiritual Counselor Stewart offers insight and assistance with understanding spirituality, the spirituality of recovery, prayer and meditation, grief, guilt and shame, forgiveness and self-forgiveness. He is also trained in Theophostic Prayer which facilitates spiritual and emotional healing for negative memories.
